A blue-focused exhibit in Connecticut with art such as “Peekablue” by Andra Samelson (the featured image) relates very closely to our study of Gestalt art. Physically, they are similar in that the color palette is reduced to 2 colors, and they both explore methods of using line weight and abstraction. Conceptually, “Peekablue’s” abstraction seems to be more than the sum of its parts; to me, it communicates something cyclic and longing.
