I came across this UNICEF infographic on Behance, as I was browsing through its “Best of Behance” section. It caught my attention because I really loved how the three tiers (“the world of the child”, “the world around the child”, and “the world at large”) seemed to stack on top of each other, as a way to show that children are highly influenced by their environment. Seeing this made me think about how the purpose of design has been gradually shifting away from “just making something look pretty”. Nowadays, design is a strong tool in communicating messages relating to important social causes, which I appreciate.
