Color-Changing Ink Turns Clothes into Giant Chemical Sensors

Since we are focusing on speculative design, I found this product that was developed by a lab at Tufts University that is both futuristic and solves a problem relevant to us now and in the future. This color-changing ink could aid in health and environment monitoring, for example, allowing clothing that switches hues when exposed to sweat or a tapestry that shifts colors if a dangerous gas enters the room. The formulation could be printed on anything from a T-shirt to a tent. I think it is really interesting that this product is both innovative and provides a sustainable solution to a global issue.
