This article by explains how the European Union is looking to the influential modernist movement as a model for a new, climate-neutral architecture. I thought this was interesting because it related to the “Speculative Everything” text and is a perfect example for how the societal issues at this time (i.e. climate change and the economy) influence the design choices made like the architecture for the European Union. I also think it’s interesting how they talk about the pairing between sustainability and style, form and function, and their focus on making sure the new architecture has both.
