Shelters of People Experiencing Houselessness Are Photographed within Affluent Residences to Demonstrate Inequality

The stark contrast illustrated in these photographs demonstrate urban inequality. Jana Sophia Nolle astutely shows the material difference between people that have homes and structure versus those that don’t. This was particularly interesting to me as Nolle uses objects and space to elucidate the wealth gap. Matter out of place is an important underlying theme in this piece.
