Being an artist and an essential worker


This article tackles an interesting intersection between art, academia, and the COVID-19 pandemic. It features Monica, a BFA graduate and grocery store manager, who discusses both the challenges of art school and being an essential worker. Monica’s art utilizes basic design elements and shapes, reminding me of the abstract work we’ve discussed in class.
