‘Awkward’ Animations

I came across a short film by animator Nata Metlukh which depicts a series of awkward situations we’ve all experienced at some point in our lives. By exaggerating the extent of awkwardness and adding humorous elements, she makes her animations come alive. Her film won ‘Best Short Film of the Year’ at Promofest in Spain and is currently Vimeo’s ‘Staff Pick of the Month’. Working with animation these last few weeks has made me realize how much effort goes into designing each keyframe and how these little pieces come together to form something much greater than the sum of its parts. I think Nata’s video is amazing and can give us all a good laugh after this stressful week!
