As I’ve begun thinking about the Still Life project and finding inspiration in still life pieces from other artists, I really liked this set of still lifes from William Arkle Marsden. In his post he talks about how he was inspired by Bauhaus paintings and I really enjoyed the graphic colors and interesting compositions in his pieces. I think the transparency and texture of some of the objects provides more depth and interest to the piece that I will consider when creating my still life.
