A Tribute to Women’s Work, From Weaving to Computer Programming

This article highlights an installation at the Women’s Center for Creative Work in Los Angeles done by Ahree Lee. The work is entitled “Pattern:Code” and is a commentary about the various roles women have played throughout history, and the stereotypes that stem from those roles. As we learn Processing, I found it interesting to read the comparison between the loom and the computer – weaving and coding.
