Apple Iconography

This article discusses the new emojis that are coming to iOS in 2021. I always find Apple’s emoji releases to be interesting to dissect as they are a pretty strong indicator of how norms are changing in society; for example, this release includes a wide variety of racially and sexually diverse couples. I also think that Apple emojis also are excellent examples of memorable iconography, much like the work of Susan Kare.
